                                         Major: Public Affairs and Commerce

I have a dual major which blends both public affairs and commerce together to give a more well-rounded approach to my career. Public Affairs deals with the laws, business administration, health concerns in and out of the workplace, environmental issues, and analyzing policies. Commerce, however, is more focused on the business aspects. With courses in accounting, finance, business management, human resources, marketing, and economics. With this unique major, I feel confident I will have a versatile approach to problem-solving in my career.

               About IDS

I will be getting my  B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies. IDS is a  program which leads the student to tailor their own program of study. Each student sits down with their advisor to choose what academic path is right for them.  This major is designed for academic flexibility, a unique learning experience and it recognizes that there are many combinations of courses which meet the needs of individual students.

        Minor: Human Communication

My minor in human communication allows students to develop ways of critical thinking whilst preparing them to understand cultural and gender-related differences in the professional world. Human Communication shows how people communicate in various situations, and it hones their marketable skills such as writing, networking, and public speaking. Graduates who earned a degree in human communication often go into a variety of industries such as; management, sales, human resources, and higher education just to name a few. Many students, myself included will go on and continue their education in graduate school to advance their education.
